A Day at the Races: Uttoxeter's Gents Day

We recently set up our vintage shoeshine chair at Uttoxeter Racecourse for their popular Gents Day event.

Located in the heart of Staffordshire countryside, Uttoxeter is one of the Midlands' leading National Hunt venues, and their autumn Gents Day has become a highlight of their calendar.

The event draws crowds of friends and families dressed in their best, all ready for a day of racing and entertainment. Our 1930s shoeshine chair fit right in with the day's atmosphere, giving racegoers a chance to get their shoes looking sharp while soaking in the buzz of the race day.

Between races, groups of friends and family members stopped by our station, sharing stories and enjoying the experience of a complimentary traditional shoe shine courtousy of Uttoxeter.

Whether they were part of a stag do or just out for a day with mates, everyone seemed to appreciate having their footwear spruced up for the occasion.

The classic combination of horse racing and a proper shoe shine just works – it's about taking time to enjoy the finer things while having a great day out with friends.
